Broncos are not interested in Victor Cruz
The Denver Broncos "have not discussed" signing free agent wide receiver Victor Cruz, reports 9 News Denver's Mike Klis.
Klis' report directly contradicts word from ESPN Broncos reporter Jeff Legwold that Denver was "already working to at least meet with" Cruz following his release from the New York Giants on Monday. The Broncos are looking for a third receiving option behind Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, but they can do better than an injury-riddled 30-year-old Cruz.
Among the 56 wide receivers with between 25 and 75 targets this past season, Cruz's Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked 25th.
