Cardinals considering trading up in draft for Deshaun Watson

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the The Arizona Cardinals are "very high" on Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, reports CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

What It Means:

According to La Canfora, the Cardinals "could be prepared to trade up to land him this spring." They currently own the 13th pick in the draft while Watson has been discussed as the potential number-one overall pick, so this would likely only become a real possibility if he falls out of the first handful of selections. Carson Palmer is expected back next season, but this shows the Cardinals are focused on finding their quarterback of the future.

Palmer let his age show at times this season but finished with 26 touchdown passes and 4,233 passing yards. His 0.11 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranked 21st out of the 39 quarterbacks to drop back at least 100 times in 2016.
