Cordarrelle Patterson willing to play running back for Vikings
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson is open to playing running back in addition to his special teams and receiver duties.
"I would love to play running back," he said. "I think any receiver in my position would love to. I just want to touch the football." Patterson is marketing himself as both a wideout and running back after the success of Ty Montgomery. He has 31 carries over his four-year career, averaging 10.7 yards per attempts -- but those mostly came on wide receiver sweeps.
Among the 56 wide receivers with between 25 and 75 targets this year, Patterson's Reception Net Expected Points per target was 13th-lowest.
