Ravens' Zach Orr retiring from NFL after three seasons
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Zachary Orr is retiring from the NFL after three seasons.
The decision is the result of a neck/shoulder injury that caused Orr to miss the final game of the regular season. A former undrafted free agent, the 24-year-old Orr started all 15 games this season prior to injury. He was reportedly close to signing a contract extension with the team, but the Ravens failed to "talk him out of it."
Orr recorded 89 tackles, 5 deflected passes, 3 interceptions, 2 fumbles recovered and 1 fumble forced in his first full year as a starter, helping the Ravens finish eighth in the NFL in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
