Adrian Peterson non-committal on paycut to stay with Vikings
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson did not say if he would take a pay cut to stay with the team.
Peterson is owed $17.75 million in salary and bonuses next season, which is too much to pay any running back much less a 32-year-old (in March) coming off a knee injury. Peterson did say he wants to stay in Minnesota but added it is a business.
There were 88 running backs to notch at least 30 rushing attempts this year. Peterson earned -0.39 Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt, by far the worst rate among these players.
