Browns could name Robert Griffin III starter for remainder of year
Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III to keep the starting job for the rest of the season if he's named Week 14 starter, NFL Network's Mike Garofolo expects.
The Browns are on bye this week, giving them an extended period to plot the final quarter of their lost campaign. Griffin attempted 26 passes this year before getting injured. He'd have to do something pretty dramatic in the home stretch of the season to make himself part of the Browns' future plans.
On 29 drop backs in 2016, Griffin generated an atrocious rate of -0.33 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back.
