Todd Bowles won't name the Jets starting quarterback for Week 13

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles decline to name a starting quarterback for Week 13 after the Jets fell 22-17 to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

What It Means:

The Jets have no reason to play for this season, at 3-8, but Bowles has expressed an interest in winning games rather than looking to the future, so Ryan Fitzpatrick may continue to start games while 25-year-old Bryce Petty continues to hold the clipboard.

Fitzpatrick has been far more efficient than Petty this season, with -0.01 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per dropback compared to Petty's -0.11 heading into Week 12, and Fitzpatrick is also coming off of one of his best games of the season, having posted a 3.87 Passing NEP on Sunday, per numberFire Live.
