Cowboys' Tony Romo willing to be backup quarterback
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is willing to be the backup, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rookie Dak Prescott's meteoric rise has forced the Cowboys to make some difficult decisions. With Dallas on a seven-game winning streak, it would be almost impossible for the Cowboys to switch back to Romo at this point. The veteran quarterback has come to terms with it and is fine holding the clipboard for Prescott as long as the Cowboys keep winning. Romo isn't expected to be active this week but will likely debut as a backup in Week 11.
Among the 33 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs in 2016, Prescott's 0.34 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranks third.
