Texans claim Brock Osweiler's starting job is safe
Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler is not in danger of being benched, says head coach Bill O'Brien.
Osweiler was worse than normal Monday night in a brutal matchup against an elite Denver Broncos defense playing with a chip on their shoulder. He has thrown eight interceptions and fumbled five times through seven games with the Texans. Tom Savage is the backup in Houston.
Osweiler posted a brutal -18.53 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) in Monday's loss, per numberFire Live. Among starting quarterbacks with at least 100 dropbacks this season, Osweiler ranks dead last in Passing NEP per play.
