Dolphins' Arian Foster announces retirement on Monday
Miami Dolphins running back Arian Foster has announced his retirement after eight seasons in the NFL.
In his retirement statement, Foster said "there comes a time in every athlete's career when their ambition and their body are no longer on the same page." He has long struggled with injuries, playing only 29 of a possible 55 games over the last four seasons.
Foster finished each of his first six seasons with a Rushing Net Expected Points per carry mark at or above the league average, finishing in the top 15 three times.
