Browns not sure if Corey Coleman (hand) can practice this week
The Cleveland Browns are "not sure" if wide receiver Corey Coleman (hand) will be able to practice this week, head coach Hue Jackson said Monday.
This doesn't sound like a coach confident in his player returning. The Browns have nothing to gain by pushing Coleman to return, and will absolutely make sure he's 100 percent healthy before he plays in a football game again. The Browns' bye isn't until Week 13, so we would still fully expect to see Coleman before then, as he's in week five of his initial four-to-six week timetable.
Coleman still has just 13 targets on the year, having been sidelined since Week 2. He has earned 16.97 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) on those targets, good for a whopping 1.31 Reception NEP per target. That rate will clearly come down with more usage, but it helps illustrate his major impact potential.
