LeSean McCoy

No progress for Bills' LeSean McCoy (hamstring) in Week 8

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy's (hamstring) Week 8 injury situation is expected to be similar to last week's, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

What It Means:

McCoy "will be in the same position as last week, probably questionable" to face the New England Patriots, according to a source of Schefter's. As expected, McCoy aggravated his hamstring injury in the Week 7 loss to the Miami Dolphins, and was wholly ineffective prior to doing so. He admitted to experiencing "pain," validating the fact that the Bills never should have played McCoy in the first place. Mike Gillislee should obviously start while McCoy rests in Week 8, but head coach Rex Ryan is going to do whatever he wants to do.

McCoy's ineffectiveness was evident in numberFire's Live metrics for Week 7, as he was last in Buffalo's backfield with -3.23 Rushing Net Expected Points on eight carries.
