Eric Decker

Jets' Eric Decker (shoulder) also undergoes surgery for hip

New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker (shoulder surgery, injured reserve) underwent hip surgery on Tuesday.

What It Means:

Decker won't be able to have his shoulder operated on until he's off crutches from the hip procedure. Turning 30 by the start of next season, he is looking at an eight-month recovery timetable for his shoulder, making him questionable for training camp. Decker is owed $7.25 million in 2017, and while he remains one of the better receivers in the NFL, the Jets may elect to move on.

The Jets check in at 26th in terms of Adjusted Passing Net Expected Points per play.
