Allen Hurns running with first-team at Jaguars training camp
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns has been running with the first-team offense opposite Allen Robinson.
Hurns is currently battling with Marqise Lee for the second starting wide receiver spot on the depth chart. Whoever wins the job will still be the third passing option in an ineffective Jaguars offense behind Julius Thomas and Allen Robinson.
The Jaguars ranked last in the NFL in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points metric with an atrocious -94.46 score, meaning they lost close to 100 points off the scoreboard that an average team would have earned. Blake Bortles will need to improve on his worst-ranked Passing Net Expected Points output among quarterbacks last season for any Jaguars receiving option to become a viable fantasy asset. We project Hurns to finish the year with 50 receptions, 600 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns.
