Giants' Rashad Jennings (thumb) could have played on Sunday
New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings (thumb) sat out Week 3 against Washington because of concerns about his ability to contribute in the passing game.
Jennings said he had no problem holding the ball in his right hand when rushing, but the thumb injury does affect his ability to catch and pass protect. Jennings said he is "going to do everything I possibly can" to be ready for Monday night, but it would not be surprising if he sat out again. Orleans Darkwa and Shane Vereen split work with Jennings sidelined.
Darkwa earned 2.87 Net Expected Points (NEP) on 10 carries in Week 3, per numberFire Live. Vereen picked up 2.37 NEP on 11 carries.
