Titans to use running back by committee?

Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky expects the Titans to use a running back by committee this season.

What It Means:

Second-year player Bishop Sankey is currently slotted ahead of rookie David Cobb on the Titans depth chart. Cobb has been criticized during Titans practices for his failures in pass protection.

Sankey ranked 37th, among running backs with at least 100 carries last season, with a -15.17 Rushing Net Expected Points score during his disappointing rookie season. He also ranked 36th on a per-carry basis. We project Sankey to produce 497 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, 24 receptions, 177 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown. Cobb will push Sankey for first-team snaps throughout training camp and the regular season to create an unclear situation in Tennessee for fantasy owners.
