Jordan Cameron and Dion Sims to share first-team role this year?
Miami Dolphins tight end Jordan Cameron has not been implemented into all of the team's packages yet, and he may share first-team duties with Dion Sims this season.
Sims is pegged as the better blocker by a significant margin and has impressed the team with his development. This could stifle Cameron's production upside if he's sharing snaps.
Sims caught just 24 passes on 36 targets last year, but he was efficient with his looks, according to our Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) metric, which indicates how many points above expectation level a player provides his team. Sims' Reception NEP per target score of 0.72 ranked 12th among 44 tight ends who saw at least 30 targets last year. Cameron's 0.65 ranked 19th in the group.
