Sam Shields and Damarious Randall will open 2016 as Packers' starters
Green Bay Packers cornerbacks Damarious Randall and Sam Shields will open the season as starters.
"Sam and 'D' have separated themselves," said Packers cornerbacks coach Joe Whitt. "But outside of that, we're looking for that fourth, fifth guy." A 2015 first-round pick, Randall turned in a great rookie campaign and was able to hold off fellow second-year Quinten Rollins' challenge. Rollins is locked in at nickel corner.
Our algorithms project Randall for 65.70 tackles, 2.70 interceptions and 11.38 passes defended this season. We have Shields pegged for 55.62 tackles, 3.88 interceptions and 12.77 passes defended.
