Dolphins lose Jelani Jenkins to knee scope
Miami Dolphins linebacker Jelani Jenkins will undergo a knee scope.
What It Means:
Jenkins recorded 71 tackles in 13 starts for the Dolphins last season and he is generally considered the top coverage linebacker in Miami. Defensive end Terrence Fede also fell to a sprained MCL.
The Dolphins defense ranked 30th in Defensive Adjusted Net Expected Points per play last season. Prior to the injury, our models expected Jenkins to record 101.62 tackles and 1.00 sacks in 2016.
