Arian Foster

Arian Foster scores for Dolphins in third exhibition game

Miami Dolphins running back Arian Foster rushed five times for 10 yards and a touchdown and caught 2-of-2 targets for 20 yards in the Dolphins' third preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

What It Means:

Despite Jay Ajayi starting the game, Foster proved to be the more effective back for Miami. His elite vision allowed him to maneuver through the defense for his short score, while he also displayed some impressive moves on his pair of catches. Among the four backs to see first-team work (Foster, Ajayi, Isaiah Pead and Damien Williams), the Dolphins' offense moved best when Foster was logging the snaps. The injury concern isn't going away, but Foster should be a serviceable RB2 to open the year. According to Fantasy Football Calculator, the 30-year-old veteran is currently being drafted in the middle of the fifth round as the 24th running back off the board.

Foster is currently our 32nd-ranked running back in fantasy football, and we project him to see 216 carries for 717 yards and 3.33 touchdowns, while also catching 39 passes for 269 yards and 1.31 touchdowns this season.
