Victor Cruz (groin) returned to Giants' practice Sunday

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz (groin) returned to practice on Sunday, but his injury was "still bothering him" after Sunday's practice, head coach Ben McAdoo said.

What It Means:

He hadn't practiced since tweaking his groin on Tuesday. Cruz wound up only taking four reps in 7-on-7's and didn't have a catch in Sunday's session. Expectations should be basement-low for Cruz this year after missing most of the last two seasons with knee and calf issues. The Giants shouldn't be counting on him, either. As beat writer Jordan Raanan notes, Cruz's "legs just aren't cooperating right now."

We rank Cruz as the 66th receiver heading into the season, with a projected line of 45 catches, 600 receiving yards and 3.10 touchdowns.
