Mohamed Sanu studied with footwork specialist during offseason

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Mohamed Sanu studied with a footwork specialist during the offseason.

What It Means:

Sanu, who takes a very cerebral approach to football, wants to make the most of his role as the tertiary receiving option for the Bengals. Denarius Moore has underwhelmed in camp, and James Wright will miss the season because of knee surgery. Marvin Jones missed the entire 2014 season with foot and ankle issues, and A.J. Green was banged up last year.

Sanu saw 99 targets last year, thanks to the absence of Jones and tight end Tyler Eifert. Based on his Reception Net Expected Points score, he was just as efficient as Green was on a per-target basis. This year he's projected for 35 receptions, 409 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
