Trevor Siemian replaces Mark Sanchez at Broncos practice
Denver Broncos quarterback Mark Sanchez was benched at practice on Friday after throwing a bad interception.
Sanchez attempted to connect with Emmanuel Sanders after scrambling to his left, but an off target throw was intercepted by Chris Harris. The 29-year-old quarterback was immediately yanked, leading to Siemian wrapping up practice with the first-team offense. Head coach Gary Kubiak claims it was nothing worth speculating over. "We're trying to go up there every night looking at an equal amount with each kid," said Kubiak. "That'll probably stay consistent here for a couple of weeks."
Our algorithms currently expect Sanchez to earn the starting gig, projecting him for 3,668 passing yards, 20.41 touchdowns and 15.58 interceptions on 552 attempts this upcoming season.
