Charles Johnson opens Vikings' camp as starter

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Charles Johnson opened training camp as a starting wide receiver.

What It Means:

Johnson and Stefon Diggs are currently running on the outside. First-round rookie Laquon Treadwell reportedly struggled a bit this spring and isn't being handed anything just yet. Beat writers praised Johnson as having "popped out most" at minicamp and OTA's.

We like Treadwell's rookie year prospects, as our algorithms project him for 57 receptions with 740 yards and 3.96 touchdowns in his first NFL campaign. He's our 50th-best receiver going into training camp. Johnson comes in at 95th, with just 26 receptions for 324 yards and 1.52 touchdowns.
