Josh Hill

Benjamin Watson to play more snaps than Josh Hill?

Tight end Josh Hill is expected to be a key part of the New Orleans Saints' offense this year, but he won't simply be replacing Jimmy Graham. Benjamin Watson might actually play more snaps than Hill, according to Mike Triplett of ESPN.com.

What It Means:

This is a pretty big buzzkill for fantasy football purposes, as Hill was looking to be a breakout candidate given the vacancy left behind by Graham.

Hill caught only 14 passes on 20 targets last year, though five of them were touchdowns. Based on our Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target data, which indicates how many points above expectation-level a player adds to his team's expected scoring output, Hill's 0.81 points per target ranked eighth among 55 tight ends with at least 20 targets. Watson's 0.34 ranked 51st. Perhaps Hill's breakout potential was overstated all along, and this might be the biggest red flag of all even though he was much more efficient than Watson last season.
