Josh Gordon

Josh Gordon (quad) sidelined a couple weeks for Browns

The Cleveland Browns placed wide receiver Josh Gordon (quad) on the active/NFI list.

What It Means:

Gordon injured himself working out away from the team this summer and will be sidelined a "couple of weeks." This is clearly the last thing Gordon needs after missing 27 of the past 32 games due to suspension. He will likely be on a strict snap count in Week 5 upon his return from his most recent suspension, and can be expected to be worked in slowly. Gordon shouldn't be drafted as anything more than a WR3, albeit one who could offer more value during the second half of the season.

Gordon is currently projected to finish the 2016 season by our algorithms with 58 receptions for 820 yards receiving and 4.28 touchdowns. He's currently our 42nd-best wide receiver for fantasy purposes going into training camp. Gordon's Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) total of 138.64 from his superb 2013 campaign ranks as the 24th best season since 2000 in terms of Reception NEP.
