Bengals going to expand offense this year
Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson said the Bengals are going to "open [the offense] up a little bit more this year and be who I think we can be."
The Bengals' offense is primed for a breakout year with A.J. Green, Marvin Jones, and Tyler Eifert healthy. Andy Dalton will have to take the next step, as he posted a career-low 19 touchdowns and 17 interceptions last season.
The Bengals will look to improve their passing game this season, as they ranked seventh in schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play but 21st in Adjusted Passing NEP per play. Dalton ranked 21st in Passing NEP per drop back among 37 quarterbacks with at least 200 drop backs. Hue Jackson is entering only his second season as the Bengals' offensive coordinator.
