Steve Smith (Achilles') begins offseason on Ravens' active/PUP list
The Baltimore Ravens placed wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. (Achilles') on the active/PUP list.
He's eligible to come off this list at any time, but will have to receive medical clearance first, and then pass a subsequent conditioning test. Smith turned 37 in May and is coming off a ruptured Achilles' tendon. The general consensus seems to believe Smith will be ready for Week 1, but that will not be determined until late August.
If he can come back healthy, Smith is a major value in fantasy football right now, as our 33rd-best projected wideout heading into training camp. Our algorithms peg him for 69 receptions for 985 receiving yards and 4.40 touchdowns this year.
