Eddie Lacy reporting to Packers camp weighing 240 pounds

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy will report to training camp weighing 240 to 245 pounds, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Bob McGinn confirms.

What It Means:

That's just 10 pounds above Lacy's Combine weigh-in. Per McGinn, "estimates in June" were that Lacy had dropped 15-20 pounds from his 260 playing weight in 2015. One NFC personnel director noted post-college weight gains aren't out of the norm for ex-Alabama running backs. "Trent Richardson was like 20 pounds heavier when he reported (to the Indianapolis Colts) than when he came out of there," said the executive. Still, it appears the P90X is paying off for the Packers' starting tailback.

While we saw the inefficiency Lacy is capable of in 2015, our algorithms project him as the 10th-best running back for fantasy purposes in 2016. We give him a likely line of 213 rushes for 928 yards and 7 touchdowns, with 54 catches for 490 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns.
