Cowboys' Byron Jones feels most comfortable at safety
Dallas Cowboys defensive back Byron Jones said he feels "natural" playing safety.
Jones played all over the formation as a rookie, but he is focusing on just safety this season. "I feel good back there," Jones said. "Just coming down on runs and guarding tight ends. That's what we do back there, so I'm enjoying it." While Jones's primary position in base sets will be at safety, he will also cover tight ends and slot receivers plenty as well. Already good as a rookie, Jones could take a big step forward with increased responsibilities in 2016.
The Cowboys ranked 19th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play last season.
