Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that offensive lineman Jonathan Martin has decided to hang up his cleats from the NFL due to an ailing back injury that would require unwanted surgery.
What It Means:
Martin, who was a victim of a bullying scandal within the Dolphins' locker room back in 2013, played three seasons in the NFL: two with Miami and one last year with San Francisco, where he started nine games. He was most recently signed by the Carolina Panthers.
