Green Bay Packers second-year quarterback Brett Hundley has "inspired total confidence in his coaches" after a solid offseason.
What It Means:
The Packers let incumbent backup Scott Tolzien leave for the Indianapolis Colts without a fight, and it appears that Hundley has begun to reward the organization's faith in him. Per beat writer Ryan Wood, Hundley's competitiveness "has blown away teammates and coaches." On the field, he has shown a "live, powerful arm" and "his grasp of the offense is clear." Also a dual threat, Hundley could flirt with startable fantasy value in the Packers' talented offense if something happened to Aaron Rodgers.
Hundley finished the 2015 preseason -- his rookie year -- with a 129.6 passer rating to go with his seven-to-one touchdown-to-interception ratio.
