Dolphins continue to monitor free agent Arian Foster
The Miami Dolphins "continue to monitor" free agent running back Arian Foster, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
The Dolphins have been the team most-heavily linked to Foster since he visited them in March. Foster is expected to be medically cleared in as little as a week, so it looks like his market is going to heat up well before training camp. The Dolphins have said all the right things about second-year running back Jay Ajayi, but he can't get too comfortable atop the depth chart.
Ajayi showed well in limited opportunities last season. Among the 80 backs with at least 45 carries in 2015, Ajayi ranked 31st in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry, with -0.01. In only four games last season, Foster had a -0.24 Rushing NEP per carry on his 63 rushing attempts.
