Packers' Eddie Lacy still weighs in the 240's

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy still weighs "in the 240s," according to a source of ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

What It Means:

It means Lacy was tipping the scales near 260 last season as he's believed to have lost 15 to 18 pounds. Lacy weighed in at 231 at the Combine. Speaking Wednesday, Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy suggested the team still wants Lacy to lose more weight. "Eddie will be fine," McCarthy said. "I believe he'll hit the target that we're all looking for when the lights come on." McCarthy also reiterated that Lacy "cannot play at the weight he was at (last) year." Lacy should have more P90X on tap for the summer.

Among backs with at least 100 carries this past season, Lacy ranked 29th in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Lacy is set to be an unrestricted free agent after this season. He has a lot of incentive to perform better in 2016.
