Dion Lewis expected to be ready for Patriots by Week 1

New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis (ACL) is fully expected to be ready for Week 1, ESPN Patriots reporter Mike Reiss reports.

What It Means:

Lewis tore his ACL on November 8th. Reiss reports people close to Lewis believe he could be ready to play in a month. The Patriots will likely limit him throughout the offseason program and into training camp, but his availability for the regular season does not appear to be in doubt.

Lewis tallied 622 total yards and four touchdowns in just seven games last season. Among the 80 running backs with at least 45 carries in 2015, Lewis ranked third in the league in Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt.
