Texans' Jadeveon Clowney had Lisfranc injury, but no surgery
Houston Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney's foot issue was a Lisfranc injury, but did not require surgery.
Clowney says he is 100 percent healthy. "I feel great," Clowney said after Monday's OTAs session. "I got healthy enough to be where I want to be." The injury held Clowney out of Week 17 and Houston's humiliating Wild Card loss. The top overall pick from the 2014 draft has appeared in just 17 of a possible 32 games. He's flashed enough when on the field that he can't yet be considered a bust, but 2016 is a crossroads year for the 23-year-old pass rusher.
According to numberFire's metrics, the Texans defense ranked fifth during the 2015 season in terms of total points prevented above expectation.
