Philadelphia denies reports on Sam Bradford
The Philadelphia Eagles have not decided whether to use the franchise tag on impending free agent quarterback Sam Bradford, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Zach Berman reports.
What It Means:
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Eagles had already decided not to use the franchise tag on Bradford, but a source denied those claims. This saga has a long way to go, but it would not be surprising if the Eagles balked at Bradford's price tag and pursued other options.
Among the the 46 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs in 2015, Bradford ranked 23rd in Passing Net Expected Points per drop back with a clip of 0.08.
