Decision on retirement a few weeks away for Broncos' Peyton Manning

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning said he will not make his decision on retirement for "a few more weeks" on the TODAY Show.

What It Means:

"I'll keep doing it for a few more weeks, and then, at the appropriate time, I think I'll make a decision," Manning said. "I have to tell you, though, I'm very much at peace with it." Manning has cited former coach Tony Dungy's advice not to make an emotional decision as his reason for delaying the announcement. With the script perfectly written, it would be surprising if Manning did not retire.

In what was likely his final game, Manning finished with -13.58 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP). Among passers with at least 100 drop backs this season, Manning checked in 36th in Passing NEP per drop back.
