Packers' Randall Cobb has bruised lung
The Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb suffered a bruised lung against the Arizona Cardinals, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Cobb made a spectacular diving catch at the end of the first quarter, which appeared to put the Packers inside the five, but the play was called back because of a penalty. To add injury to insult, Cobb bruised his lung when a defender came down on his chest at the end of the play. He was taken to the locker room for X-rays before being ruled out. Cobb will be kept overnight for observation of the scary injury, but he should be able to recover before the offseason program begins. Cobb posted 79 catches for 820 yards and six touchdowns in what was a disappointing campaign for the entire Packers' offense.
Cobb received just one target in the game but couldn't secure it. He racked up -0.71 Target Net Expected Points, per live.numberfire.com.
