Lions' Danny Amendola could be Matthew Stafford's 'security blanket'
The Detroit Lions believe wide receiver Danny Amendola could replace Golden Tate as a "safety blanket" for quarterback Matthew Stafford, per Terez Paylor of Yahoo Sports.
What It Means:
The Lions signed Amendola to a one-year deal back in March to take over in the slot between Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones. He caught 59 passes (79 targets) for 575 yards and 1 touchdown with the Miami Dolphins last year.
