Schefter: Bengals' A.J. Green has torn ligaments, not expected to return by Week 1
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has torn ligaments in his left ankle, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday.
An MRI reportedly revealed multiple ligament tears, and Green is expected to be on the shelf for about six to eight weeks. Original reports had Green missing about a month, but Schefter's news is much more daunting. The superstar wide receiver will likely miss Week 1 at the very least.
Before this update, our models projected Green for 85.1 catches, 1,232.1 yards and 9.08 touchdowns in the 2019 season.
