Giants' Golden Tate hit with four-game ban, per report

New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate has been suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league's Performance Enhancing Substance police.

What It Means:

Tate is appealing the suspension, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The news comes on the heels of Corey Coleman tearing his ACL and Sterling Shepherd fracturing his thumb.

Tate caught 74 passes for 795 yards and 4 touchdowns last season and figures to be the Giants' top receiver when he is on the field.
