Tevin Coleman expected to be 49ers' lead back
San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman is expected to be the "de facto" lead runner, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.
Barrows writes that Coleman "knows Kyle Shanahan’s offense, and is dangerous as both a runner and pass catcher," adding that the fifth-year back will be the "most popular among fantasy football geeks." Coleman may lead the backfield in touches, but Matt Breida and Jerick McKinnon should still get their fair share.
numberFire's models expect Coleman to rush 164.9 times for 753.4 yards and 5.25 touchdowns, with 31.2 receptions for 273.5 yards and 1.28 touchdowns. He is the RB29 in our preseason fantasy rankings. McKinnon is the RB49 and Breida is the RB52.
