Julian Edelman (thumb) reportedly out 3 weeks
New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is expected to be sidelined the first three weeks of training camp with a left thumb injury, league sources tell ESPN.
Edelman should be fine for the start of the regular season, but this serves as a reminder that the 33-year-old wideout has dealt with a litany of injuries throughout his career. The reigning Super Bowl MVP signed a 2-year, $18 million extension through 2021 earlier this offseason.
numberFire's models expect Edelman to catch 99.0 passes on 142.6 targets for 1,140.6 yards and 6.99 touchdowns in 2019. He's the WR17 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
