Rams match Lions, re-sign Malcolm Brown

The Los Angeles Rams re-signed running back Malcolm Brown to a 2-year, $3.25 million contract.

What It Means:

The Detroit Lions signed Brown to an offer sheet earlier this week, but since he was a restricted free agent, the Rams had the right to match it. Brown averaged a career-best 4.9 yards per carry on limited opportunity last season before suffering a season-ending injury at the beginning of December. He turns 26 in May.

Brown totaled 264 yards and a touchdown on 48 touches last season.
