Chiefs cut ties with Eric Berry
The Kansas City Chiefs released safety Eric Berry.
This was expected after the Chiefs reportedly agreed to terms with Tyrann Mathieu earlier this week. Berry appeared in just three games over the past two seasons due to injury, but earned five Pro Bowl bids during his nine-year tenure in Kansas City.
Berry recorded 448 tackles (387 solo), 6 sacks, 14 interceptions (5 return touchdowns), 51 pass deflections, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries.
