Antonio Brown ignoring Steelers, owner open to trade

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has not spoken with the team since he was deactivated for Week 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals, reports Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

What It Means:

Brown has "refused to return repeated phone calls" from owner Art Rooney II and head coach Mike Tomlin, writes Dulac. Rooney II said “all other options are on the table” besides releasing the All-Pro receiver, indicating a trade is likely. "Whether the situation can be reconciled and have him back on the team next year, we’re a long way away from thinking that can happen," Rooney said. Brown is due a $2.5 million roster bonus on March 17.

Brown caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns on 168 targets in 15 games this season.
