Eagles' Chip Kelly has no interest in leaving
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly told his players Tuesday that he has no interest in leaving.
"He said, 'As long as they have me here, I'm here,'" according to running back Kenjon Barner. Despite the proclamation, Kelly is no lock to be back for a fourth year in Philadelphia. He seems to be wearing out his welcome throughout the organization, and there will be no shortage of teams who want to hire him in the college ranks. Were he to make a lateral NFL move, the Tennessee Titans are the most logical destination in a reunion with quarterback Marcus Mariota, his former Oregon protege.
The Eagles currently rank 28th in Adjusted Offensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play, and just 15th in Adjusted Defensive NEP per play.
