The 36-year-old quarterback does not need surgery, but the timetable will extend beyond the season. It's an unfortunate ending to what had been a surprisingly good year for the veteran. Browns' coach Mike Pettine has yet to decide if he'll start Austin Davis or Johnny Manziel.
