Tampa Bay's Doug Martin stays hot, totals 97 yards on 14 carries
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin had 14 carries for 97 yards and caught 1-of-3 targets for one yard in the Bucs' Week 12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Martin got most of his yards on a 56-yard third-quarter run. He was held out of the end-zone but had a two-yard touchdown called back. Martin now has his first 1,000-yard campaign since 2012. A free agent at the end of the season, this is a good time for Martin to regain his rookie form.
Martin turned his 14 carries into 2.40 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP). Entering the week, among backs with at least 80 attempts, Martin ranked 16th in Rushing NEP per carry. The Buccaneers take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12. Atlanta ranks sixth in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play.
